I had quite a different tune in mind for
this week's Saturday Scratch, but instead
here's Winston Wright & the Upsetters with a
a sweet little organ-led groove from 1972 in
tribute to the biblical storm that hit us an
hour or so ago, 'Hail Stone'.
That is indeed a sweet song - so different to the weather... (squally, wet, wild and cold here too). It made me think of summer, maybe wandering around an old-fashioned fairground (that organ sound I guess!) in flip-flops, the smell of trodden-down grass and candyfloss permeating the air. A welcome contrast to the reality outside the window right now...
