A dollop of Tim Buckley and a generous pinch of Bert Jansch will set you in the general direction of Ryley Walker's music. You can discover the rest of the ingredients for yourself. His recent LP, 'Primrose Green', is one of 2015's finest and I'm very pleased to have bagged a ticket for a show on his forthcoming UK tour.

He's good, isn't he@
He's a throwback. And no mistake.
Remember 'Time Tunnel'? Of course you do. I've just been sucked into it and popped out at Les Cousins in 1968. It's funky, smelly and rather nice. Ryley Walker is playing tonight and he literally does slip straight between being Bert and then Tim in vocal mannerisms, doesn't he? Obviously very talented, though not sure why we have to rehash the past when we *have* the past to listen to any time we want these days. Nice guitar stylings.
Certainly of of the best albums this year. Listened to this record today when I stood up and made me the first coffee to start. And it doesn't matter if sounds retro when it sounds like this.
