Cate Le Bon
Cate Le Bon's terrific new LP, 'Mug Museum',
featuring contributions from Sweet Baboo and H.Hawkline, is her third full length release and
first since relocating from Cardiff to Los
Angeles. After just a couple of plays it's looking
odds on to feature in my top ten albums of the
year. Here's Cate, demonstrating another string to
her bow, with 'Are You With Me Now?'.

Hmmm. Nice production but I find it hard to get around he vocal style. Just not my cup of tea. Marks off for leaving Cardiff for LA but I expect the weather is a bit better there. It's a shame how often people who start off performing in Welsh feel the need to pack it in to gain commercial success.
I can see that she has something of a Marmite voice, one I've only truly fallen for myself in the last 18 months, after getting deeper into Baboo and Hawkline. I don't know if she's from the same region of Wales, but at times I find her delivery uncannily similar to Euros Childs.
I quite liked this one....I am going straight to Spotify and will giver her the once over
