Not so much a post as a public service announcement. If you, like me, had your tired old heart warmed by the return of Peter Perrett a few months ago, please check out his recent Marc Riley 6Music session here. Over the course of 27 minutes, Peter speaks frankly about his life, health and music, as well as playing killer versions of 'Hard to Say No', 'Something In My Brain' and 'Living in My Head' from 'How the West Was Won', his first new LP in 20 years. I bring this to your attention because, as of this writing, the session will only be available on the BBC iPlayer for another 22 days before it presumably disappears into the ether forever. If anyone out there has the technical ability to download it, please let me know, I'd be eternally in your debt. It's a glorious listen.
As a bonus, here's a video for 'Sweet Endeavour', the latest single from 'How the West Was Won'.

I can't help you download it but, if you have any audio recording software, you just record all 27 minutes into whatever sound file you like and you can then store it or burn it on to a CD. For the past 15 years or so, I've been using "Total Recorder" which copies any sound played via my PC/laptop with no problem. I copy them as wav files and burn them directly to CD.
In the past, I've recorded audio from various online sources, such as BBC IPlayer and Youtube videos - including entire live gigs from the likes of Glastonbury and other places with no drop in sound quality. You don't have to be at your PC/laptop throughout the recording - just at the start and finish.
Hope this has been of some help.
Get iPlayer is a great bit of software for capturing BBC stuff (audio and visual). Bit nerdy - it's DOS-based - but the instructions are pretty clear. Quick too - you don't have to play the file while it runs.
If I remember I'll try and grab it for you later when I get home. Please give me a nudge if I forget and you haven't managed to obtain it yourself.
Thank you for sharing the link Swede. I really enjoyed these versions. And thanks to TheRobster and Gram as well. I'll try later.
Heard he put on a good show in Glasgow
Thanks for the tips guys, but I'm not having any luck. Do you think you could grab it for me Robster?
I tried it for quite some time, but failed as well! Hope someone else was able to help you out in the meantime ...
