1978's Baltimore is a good, not great, late period Nina Simone LP, although it does contain three totally essential minutes in her interpretation of Fritz Rotter's 'That's All I Want From You'. The song was a hit in 1954 for Jaye P. Morgan and subsequently covered by artists as diverse as Dean Martin, Bobby Bare and Aretha Franklin, but none of these come close to Nina's fragile, emotional reading.

What can I say? Simply tremendous. I agree that 'Baltimore' isn't quite Nina at the very top of her form but it is still very goon parts. 'My Father' brings tears to my eyes every time. I'm really looking forward to the documentary that is on its way. Hope it does her justice. Music that will live forever.

SB. Taken the day after the photo in the 'Misty Mist' post last week. Then, I wasn't brave enough to open the window to let the cold air in and took the shot through the glass, but with this one I opened up and froze for a couple of minutes as I snapped away. Worth it though.

If you're still having problems with adding other blogs though, I stumbled on a solution of sorts a couple of weeks ago.
I click on 'Configure Blog List' and uncheck all options except for the top two (Icon and Title of Most Recent Item) & Save. Then I re-open, add the new blog and Save again. You can then go back in and restore your usual options.
I don't know why this should work, but it does.
